APC BR1500MS2 Back-UPS Pro
1500VA and 900W, and APC does say pure sine wave here, which puts it in the same conversation as the CyberPower PFC units rather than the cheaper Back-UPS line. The user-replaceable battery is the quiet argument for it: every UPS battery dies in three to five years, and the ones you cannot open become landfill on that schedule. Not tested here yet.
Quick decision
- Best for
- A desktop, NAS, or small server setup that needs pure sine wave output and a battery the owner can replace.
- Avoid if
- You only need to keep a router online, need rack mounting, or have a load above its 900W rating.
